Three neighborhood plans accepted by PCPC as official guidance documents

PCPC Update

The Philadelphia City Planning Commission has begun accepting community-based plans as a point of reference for city planning work. The process of “accepting” neighborhood plans as a general guidance document is not the same as “adopting” the plans, however. A letter of acceptance means the planning commission recognizes the plan’s major goals and concepts, but does not obligate PCPC “to support each and every recommendation.” To date, three neighborhood plans have been accepted: The Neighborhood Plan by Walnut Hill; Center City Resident’s Association Neighborhood Plan; and the Logan Square Neighborhood Parkway Plan.
