ZoningWatch:
In 2007, the Coalition launched a successful campaign for zoning reform entitled Zoning Matters. A website at zoningmatters.org was a critical element of the Coalition’s effort to educate voters as to why zoning reform mattered. At the end of 2007, the Nutter Administration asked to adopt the Zoning Matters site as the Zoning Code Commission official website. The coalition agreed and we encourage you to go to ZoningMatters.org for information on zoning reform and the city’s official postings regarding the Zoning Code Commission. This website will now include a zoning watch feature which will track the progress of the Zoning Code Commission, highlight key issues as they arise and provide the best information we can until Philadelphia has a new Code and a new zoning map to bring it into the 21st Century. Meeting summaries will be added as they become available.
Development Review Watch:
The Coalition will post any new reforms, procedures and other changes that impact the development review process. The website will track improvements and problems for residents and investors who need to obtain permits to renovate or build.
