fixitphilly.org

Current Agenda

The coalition meets monthly with Nutter Administration officials to implement reforms to the development review process.  Reforms that the Coalition are advocating for currently include:

  • Adoption of a modern Plumbing Code
  • Scans of zoning file records to mke the information available online for a fee,
  • Remove plan review away from the counter by having employees solely check to make sure all necessary information has been submitted in order to decrease customer wait times,
  • Offer separate lines at L&I for homeowners and business owners and remove large-scale development from the line by effectively using the developer services team,
  • Make all applications and forms available for downloading online
  • Allow submittal of plans, applications and forms in electronic form
  • Work to ensure that the Zoning Code Commission has the information and resources it needs to reform the Code
  • Creation of  a simple Internet tool that tells applicant what zoning requirements apply, approvals they need and forms they must complete
